If you told me that Patrick Mahomes would throw 4 touchdowns in his NFL debut, I would think he would be the biggest story of the Chiefs game. Everyone has been hyping Pat up all summer. We have been waiting for this moment to crown Mahomes as the next great quarterback in this league. But there’s a bigger story this morning and it’s about the man that Mahomes was throwing to.

Tyreek Hill had himself a ballgame ladies and gentlemen. He was better than great. I have watched great games by Chiefs players before. No this was dominant. It’s his third year in the league and no one has figured out how to stop him. At this point, it is fair to say that no one ever will. He is a cheat code. Just imagine him as a 7th grader and all the parents complaining that their kids can’t catch him and it’s not fair. He makes grown men look silly. Everybody in the NFL is an athlete. Everybody is fast. But Hill makes it look like he is playing against children. Tyreek Hill is not from planet Earth. The great Lil Wayne once called himself a martian, well Wayne needs to get in touch with Tyreek Hill’s people because he is a martian too.

Then he did this.

He had 149 all-purpose yards after touching the football TWICE. That is hard to do on Madden let alone a real NFL game. He finished with seven catches for 169 yards and two touchdowns.

I think now we can officially stop calling him a “weapon”. He is one of the best football players in the league. He is a top 10 receiver in this league.

32 games played in his career. He has 23 touchdowns. If I was Tyreek Hill I would hold out after the season. He makes $720,000 thousand right now. It is now time for the Chiefs to lock him up. Pay the man. Please. I know the Chiefs don’t handle contracts well but they need to not mess this up. They cannot afford to let him walk and go to another team next year. The contract year is undefeated. He looks like a man who is trying get paid this year. He can do it all. Please Kansas City, PAY THIS MAN HIS WORTH.
